Terms and conditions

By making a booking with Clifton House, you are entering into a legal agreement, please read the Terms and Conditions below.
 
Prices: Includes room and breakfast.
 
Breakfast: Served between 08.30 and 09.00 am daily.
 
Children: We cannot accommodate children under the age of 5 years.
 
Pets: Only trained dogs for the disabled can be accepted.
 
Booking procedure: Contact details will be required at the time of booking.
 
Cancellation: At least 48 hours notice of cancellation is required for a full refund, including the deposit. If the room is subsequently let for the cancellation period the total amount paid/deposit will be refunded.
 
Non availability:  In the event that we cannot offer accommodation on the day of arrival, we will endeavour to find alternative accommodation to at least a similar standard nearby. If we are unable to do so, we will inform you as soon as possible. In these circumstances a full refund will be made.
 
Arrival: Rooms are normally available from 1pm. Keys may be collected earlier, by prior arrangement.
 
We ask you to advise us of your approximate time of arrival.
 
Please keep us informed should you be delayed beyond the expected arrival time.
 
Departure: Guests are requested to vacate rooms by 10.15am on the day of departure. Luggage may be left with us after this time, to be collected at an agreed time.
 
Room Access:
 
Guests have their own keys for the duration of their stay and can come and go as they please, but are required to lock the front door when entering and leaving on each occasion.
 
Please note that rooms are serviced daily between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
 
Damage and Breakages: Guests are requested to inform us of any damage or breakages at the earliest opportunity, in order to safeguard the comfort and safety of all our guests.
 
Liability: We cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any guest or any vehicle or possession, unless it can be proved that it was due to our negligence or any person employed by us.
 
Unacceptable Behaviour: Guests are requested  to be quiet when entering the house at night and to keep television volume to an acceptable level.
 
An aggressive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and the guest(s) will be asked to leave immediately, in which case the said guest(s) will be liable for the full cost of the room for that night.
 
No smoking policy: Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the walls of Clifton House. Any guest breaching our non-smoking policy will be asked to leave immediately, without refund. Guests are welcome to smoke in the front garden, provided that they use the ash can to extinguish cigarettes.
